Admission requirements

General or subject-linked university entrance qualification
Completed university studies with at least 180 ECTS (e.g. Bachelor's degree or equivalent).
In principle, the program is open to graduates of all disciplines, but is primarily designed for non-economists. Knowledge of management and business administration is not a prerequisite.
Please note that degrees from foreign universities must be recognized in Germany by the Studienkolleg Konstanz.
Good command of the German language. If the university entrance qualification or the first professional degree was not obtained at a German-speaking institution, proof of the required German language skills must be provided. (§ 1 of the "Statutes on the required language skills for studying at Reutlingen University").
Good knowledge of English on level B2, to be proven by the evidence listed in § 2 of the "Statutes on the required language skills for studies at Reutlingen University".

Good knowledge of French on level B2 - the following evidence is recognized

French was taken as a performance/profile subject in all 4 semesters of the college level with at least 6 points.

The course is recognized and financially supported by the Franco-German University (DFH). Students enrolled at the DFH receive a mobility grant of € 3,000 for the study abroad phase (according to DFH funding criteria).

Two countries, three languages, one double degree

With the Master of Arts European Management Studies we train you in four semesters to become an expert in German-French economic relations.

Structure and Content

The program imparts management-oriented professional and personal competencies required for the qualified performance of management tasks and team functions in internationally oriented companies or other organizations. A special focus is placed on the economic, structural and cultural characteristics in the German-French context.

The practice-integrated study structure aims at a wide-ranging professional profile formation in international business fields. In addition to specialist knowledge, the following competencies in particular are developed: Analytical thinking skills, advanced foreign language skills, intercultural communication, teamwork, flexibility, resilience and a sense of responsibility.

You will spend the first year of your studies in Germany and the second in France. Case studies, project work, group work and workshops are complemented by seminars, lectures and expert presentations.

At the end of the program, you will receive two master's degrees, one from the ESB Business School at Reutlingen University and one from the École de Management at the Université de Strasbourg.

This is how the online application works

Step 1: Register on the application portal of Reutlingen University and apply for your degree programme of choice.

Step 2: If you are invited, attend the selection interview.

All applicants who meet the basic requirements for admission will be invited to a selection interview by e-mail. If this date is not possible for you, you will naturally be offered an alternative date.

The selection interview will take place immediately after the deadline for applications. The interview, which lasts approximately 20 minutes, determines and evaluates the suitability, motivation and qualifications of the applicants and is conducted by two persons.

As a graduate of the European Management Studies programme you will have strong intercultural knowledge and a high level of foreign language proficiency with a particular focus on the German-French economic area.
